7 month old congested and with fever?

my 11 week old son just recently got over RSV and my pedi dr told me when it sounds like there is alot of mucus build up in his throat or nose to take the bulb sarenge and suck his nose and throat out but don't do it alot because you can cause irritation. If your baby is running a high fever and you can't get it to go down with motrin you really need to him to the dr. the hospital should have an on call pedi dr. you can see.
