Did they serve birthday cake at McCain's hurricane photo-ops?

Three years ago, Senator McCain didn't give a fig as a hurricane descended on New Orleans. He ate birthday cake with Bush in Arizona on a bright, bright, sunshiney day while the storm made landfall and the damage to the levees began. Now, Candidate McCain spent the day BEFORE the storm, and the day of the storm, getting his picture taken with concern on his face and getting interviewed with such sympathy in his voice. Even the real president is avoiding getting in the way of all of this, since he knows what a pain it is to have a huge entourage around when people are trying to do good work. Is this the most disgusting example of political opportunism you have ever seen?
