Are the books in the Princess Sultana series true?

Many of my friends from the Gulf say that this book is a lie there is no Princess Sultana and that many of Sultana's stories have been plagiarized and are actually taken from a book about women in Kuwait. Actually a lot of people say Jean Son has plagiarized and most of her books are taken from other series including her Mayada Iraqi Princess.
