Repost: Looking for help. My son, the cop, has removed himself from the family. Please give advice!?

It sounds as if you son is suffering from a lot of stressful issues....probably at work. Something is not as it should be. Cops need to be able to let things go...and not allow them to crawl deep inside them and ruin family relationships. This is all to common however. The only thing I can suggest is that you try to make an appointment with a police department psychologist and tell him your story. You son won't like it if he hears about it...but the department also needs a heads up if they have a cop on the force that is a ticking time bomb. I wish you the best.
