Final fantasy 7 for the PlayStation 3...?

I saw so many things saying the release date for final fantasy 7 on the PlayStation 3 and the psn network was supposed to be like 02/06/2009. But I can't seem to find anything about it. Did it not release or something? All I could find was a teaser on youtube for it where it was the opening scene with incredible graphics...
