Am buying used 2004 sv650 for $2900 BUT...?

When asking why the price was so low, I was told because they wanted to move out and wanted it gone. Also was told that that they have a temporary title available, and that they would mail the clean one once they finish making payments on the bike. Should I be wary? Experienced bike riders/purchasers please advise!!
